Optical Illusions for Kids

Optical Illusions for Kids

Optical Illusions for Kids are simple illusions that stimulates or test a kid's visual perception. Basic shapes and objects commonly used in these kinds of optical illusions or anything that a kid could easily associate or anything that they are already familiar with.

The optical illusions for kids works for adults as well. Illusions cause our mind to perceive a
different object than what actually is in reality.

Here are some Optical Illusions for Kids that you may want to show them:

1. Ask your kid or child to count how many gray dots are there in the image below.-The correct answer is none. There are no gray spots in the image above. Our brain just gives as the impression that there are because of the contrasting colors of the black squares and the white spaces.

2. Ask a kid in your household to identify what animal is in the picture below.

-Depending where your focus is, the viewer would see a rabbit or a duck which are both correct.

3. Are the diagonal lines parallel?

-They absolutely are.

4. Is it a perfect circle?
-The picture above is a perfect circle. It appears to be distorted because of the surrounding lines.

5. Lastly, check whether your kids are still innocent or not. The picture below is entitled "Message of Love from the Dolphins" by Sandro Del-Prete. Ask your kid what he sees.
-An innocent kid would say "Some dolphins jumping out of the water" but a mature one would say that he/she sees a couple embracing each other in an erotic way.

I hope you enjoyed this post and and if you did, go ask a kid out and let him see these optical illusions for kids.
